Mayor Emanuel Statement On Oscar Mayer’s Decision To Relocate To Chicago

Mayor's Press Office    312.744.3334

"Oscar Mayer’s decision to return to Chicago is a reflection of the talent of our workforce, the strength of our world-class transportation networks, and the certainty and confidence we have given businesses that invest in our city. I’m proud that we are adding Oscar Mayer to the growing list of global corporations from Kraft Heinz to ConAgra to Motorola Solutions who are choosing to make their home in Chicago. I’m equally proud that businesses who already call us home are seeing new level of success – like 1871, which was named the nation’s top business incubator. Oscar Mayer’s move to Chicago adds to our strength as a leading destination for food companies and I look forward to watching them create more jobs for our residents and build a great future here in Chicago.”
