“Brian Urlacher’s toughness, his never quit attitude and his hard working style embodied what it means to be a Chicago Bear and what it means to be a Chicagoan. He was a Monster of the Midway who left his personal stamp on the proud tradition of Bears linebackers, and his number 54 struck fear in the hearts of opposing offenses. With today’s vote, Urlacher will forever be enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, but he earned his place in the hearts of Bears fans long ago. I join all Bears fans in congratulating Brian on his election to the Pro Football Hall of Fame."
