Automatic weapons have no place on the streets of cities and towns in our state. I commend the Illinois Senate for passing a ban on bump stocks, and call on the House to do the same and Governor Rauner to sign this bill into law. Outlawing bump stocks should be the first step, not the last step, towards comprehensive common-sense gun laws in Illinois.
