CHICAGO – Cisco, a worldwide leader in technology, has announced Chicago as the company’s Midwest regional hub — complete with new offices in Chicago’s famed Old Main Post Office. The announcement was made by Gerri Elliott, EVP & Chief Customer and Partner Officer, Cisco, and Chicago Mayor Lori E. Lightfoot.

Cisco will move its regional offices from Rosemont into the iconic and storied Old Main Post Office in the near west loop. The Chicago office will serve as a collaboration experience center space where teams can come together under a hybrid work model and will include a vibrant backyard where all can explore, connect, and deepen the company’s ties to the city. Chicago’s business community is dynamic and thriving and ready to support Cisco’s interest in deepening its roots and reaching a diverse pool of talent, business partners, and clients.

"On behalf of our great city, I am thrilled to welcome Cisco to Chicago," said Chicago Mayor Lori E. Lightfoot. "As a part of our growing business community, Cisco will be able to benefit from the tremendous amount of advantages our city provides, including convenient access to global markets and a diverse workforce and talent pipeline. I look forward to formally welcoming Cisco to our city in the very near future and identifying ways we can partner together to continue driving inclusive and equitable economic development."

“Chicago is an amazing city and offers everything we wanted for our Midwest regional hub. It’s business-friendly, has a booming tech and innovation ecosystem, and offers access to a dynamic pool of talent,” said Gerri Elliott, EVP & Chief Customer and Partner Officer, Cisco. “Our new space is more than just an office, it’s a showcase for our technology and will highlight how we are powering hybrid work for our teams, our customers and partners, and for businesses in and around Chicago.”

“Today’s news demonstrates the city’s strength as a major hub for finance, technology, and global connectivity,” said Michael Fassnacht, President & CEO, World Business Chicago, and Chief Marketing Officer, City of Chicago. “This will not only benefit the firm’s current employees and clients, but also provide job opportunities and help strengthen our rebounding economy. I look forward to watching Cisco thrive and grow in Chicago for many years to come.”
