CHICAGO – It is with great sadness that we express our deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of Kelvin Kiptum and Coach Gervais Hakizimana, who lost their lives in a tragic car accident in Kenya late Sunday.

Kiptum captured the hearts of all of Chicago with his extraordinary show of strength and determination in his record-breaking completion of the Chicago Marathon last year.
