Juneteenth Flag Raising Ceremony

In community with the the Chicago Alderman Black Caucus, community leaders and elected officials, the Mayor's Office celebrated Juneteenth at the third annual Juneteenth Flag Raising Ceremony. 

Disrupting Segregation Bus Tour

In partnership with Tonika Lewis Johnson, creator of the Folded Map Project and Chicago historian, Sherman “Dilla” Thomas, OERJ kicked off the Folded Map Action Kit through the first “Disrupting Segregation” bus tour. This is the first of a series of events happening in Summer 2023 to promote the Together We Heal Folded Map project. 

Equity Cohort Closing Symposium: Public Safety Learning Cohort

The final cohort of city government employees (all focused in the public safety departments) had the chance to highlight their progress and display their REAPs during the Equity Cohort Closing Symposium on April 21,2023.
